Back

As appealing as we make our products and as easy as we try to make our customers decision process to encourage them to purchase on the spot there will still be some customers who prefer to spending thinking about a purchase decision.

The buyer decision process  is a 5 Step process that customers go through whilst they are thinking about their purchase decision:

If you take the time to identify how you can tempt the customer at each stage a little more they can make those decision a little faster and allow you to spend the saved time into obtaining more customers or investing it in other areas of your business.

Recently this journey has evolved and extra time needs to be taken to ensure that your marketing messages are clear and persuasive enough for the customer to be attracted to your business during the Information Search stage:

  • Between 70-90% of the buyers decision is made before they approach the business
  • The information search tends to split into 2 parts for the consumer: the search between competitor products for features and quality followed by the search for price competitiveness

You can see how you can influence customers during their decision making process here.
