Pitches Add to toolbox

Back

In terms of business a pitch is a quick and concise  (usually around 30 seconds) overview of your business idea, designed ensure the listener wants to hear more.

It’s the power to convince using short words.

Whether you are pitching your business to an investor or presenting an idea for other causes:

  • Ensure you know about the person you are pitching to, what they want to see from you and what they dislike
  • Follow a structure
  • Practice so that your presentation is smooth and flows
  • Keep it short
  • Do thorough research to ensure there is a customer demand for your idea
  • Create a story to tell (facts tell, stories sell)
  • Have a call to action (what do you want them to do?)
